In May I think it was Sophia Draper, Hannah Brown and I received email notifying us that we were nominated for an award. The award is called the environmental Achievement award and we were invited to attend the event. The award recognises individual and groups who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to promoting, conserving and enhancing Coquitlam’s natural environment.

I had no clue that I was nominated for a award at all, when I read the email I did not believe it was real I had to read it twice. I know it was just a nomination but it was still very cool.

The event itself was very nice to be invited to. We had dinner, very yummy. Then the awards began with explanation of what the awards for the category their where and the nominees for each category. Then the winners of each award with the award we received a gift card to garden works which we used towards the garden. Which is where Sophia, Hannah and I got the award for the youth group category. After the awards prizes where drawn in allot was a lot of fun.
