In chapter 12 Dr. Seward just received word that he must go to Ms. Lucy Westenra’s house immediately from van Helsing. Once he arrives he tries desperately to get someone to answer the door. He began getting very frustrated when no one answered, so he went around the house looking for another way in, but found none before he saw Van Helsing running up the drive way. Van Helsing made the assumption that since Dr. Seward is outside that Lucy must be fine.
Dr. Seward told him that was not the case and he couldn’t even enter the house. They graved their tools and decided to make a way into the house by cutting the bars on the kitchen window. Once they got in they advanced in the house and checked each and every room looking for someone, they dint come across any one till the dining room. In the dining room laid 4 servant women not dead but drugged, at that point they continued their search knowing they would be fine.
When they came across Lucy’s room. They found her and her mother laying on Lucy’s bed. Lucy’s mother had a sheet covering her body and face she was dead. Lucy lying beside her was almost there to her body was so cold, pale and she was bearably breathing. They warmed her up by getting the servants who were able to wake up to draw her a hot bath. She began to warm up and now needed another treatment.
